It is suitable for virtually all general businesses including consultants, service providers, retailers, distributors, cleaners, construction, web developers etc. etc. (you get the picture!)

Often referred to as a 'not for profit' company, a limited by guarantee company is normally registered by charities, associations, clubs and other organisations that do not make profit for the business owners.
In most circumstances the businesses do make a profit but it is re-invested within the business or used to benefit the objects of the company rather than extracted by shareholders.
Guarantee companies are popular with small business with charitable aims as they protect the liability of the members.

Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP) are often registered by professionals. This type of business structure is normally preferred by solicitors, accountants, architects and other professional sectors.
This can be seen as a hybrid of a limited company and a partnership. It allows the business owners to operate as a legal entity and benefit from protected liability whilst still keeping some of the flexibility associated with a partnership.
LLPs normally require a formal partnership to be written as they do not have a constitution document.
