The simple way to form your company

What are Simple Formations offering?

As a company formation agent ourselves we are offering free guidance on the most cost effective and efficient way to form a private company limited by shares in the UK.

FREE ADVICE We are a company formation agent and have formed thousands of companies in the past. We now offer free advice via this website.

ACCESS TO OUR EXPERTISE We used to charge a fee to form companies for our clients. We offered this service from 1998 until October 2025. In that time we formed thousands of companies so have considerable expertise from company formation to company dissolution and everything in between.

ACCESS TO FREE COMPANY DOCUMENTS Shortly we will be launching a free company document service. More information to follow soon...

OUR GOAL To arm you with the correct information and advice so you can form your new limited company  in the most cost effective way avoiding third party formation fees when they do not need to be paid. We will provide you with the same benefits a company formation agent offers but without the fee.

Why are Simple Formations offering free company formation advice?

We used to be a company formation agent charging fees to form companies. In November 2025 we closed our paid service and converted to a free company formation agent advice only service, completely free of charge. Why? Read on...

FREE ID CHECKS ID checks are now mandatory BUT are free if you do them at the GOV UK One login. Formation agents may charge or ask you to use an ACSP to complete the ID checks.

GO TO COMPANIES HOUSE DIRECT Companies House offer company registration directly through their own GOV website with no additional formation agent fees, you only pay the GOV fee.

GOV.UK ONE LOGIN WILL BE ALL YOU NEED GOV.UK One Login centralises and simplifies access to all services for your company - The mandatory ID check and and future web filling updates are now done via GOV.UK One Login. We anticipate the GOV company registration service will soon move to this same One Login system.

NO THIRD PARTY FEES Some formation agents add fees to their service to cover ID check costs or will ask you to go off to GOV.UK and come back later with a personal code to finish and application. Why pay a fee for this disjointed process  when you can go direct and avoid delay and disruption.
