Who writes to the registered office?

The two main authorities that write to a company at the registered office are Companies House and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). In addition to this your company may receive mail from the National Statistics Office.

In the event that your company is the subject of legal action then legal firms and debt collection agencies may also write to or visit the registered address.

Unfortunately the registered office address can also be targeted by junk mail. Some businesses will ‘scrape’ information from Companies House or purchase data on newly formed companies or business in their area. Whilst this is annoying it is not illegal.

If you are using our address as the registered office for your company we will try to intercept any junk mail and shred it for security. We will only forward official company notices to you.
