How many directors can be appointed?

Company directors are responsible for making decisions on behalf of the company. Many start-ups only have one or two directors. Only appoint people as directors if they actively manage the company.

To add more than one director complete the details for the first director. When you have completed this you will be provided with an option to add another director. You can then add as many directors as the company needs.

Please note that directors are responsible for the day to day management of the company. They are legally responsible for making decisions on behalf of the company. Do not appoint employees as directors unless you intend for them to be active in ‘directing’ the company.

We do not recommend your register a company and make tens of people company directors. If you believe that you do need to appoint a lot of company directors we recommend you seek advice before registering the company. Directors have legal responsibilities.
