How do I issue more shares?

Once a company is formed you can issue more shares by completing form SH01. This can be done online or by using the paper version.

Many companies are formed with just 1 or 2 shareholders. If you are registering a new company you can issue as many shares as you want at the time of incorporation. Completing this correctly will avoid making changes immediately.

During the life of the company you may need to create new share classes or issue new shares to a new shareholder. New shares are issued by completing Companies House form SH01.

Whilst this may sound straight forward form SH01 is not the easiest form to complete either online or manually. You need to enter the details of the shares being issued and create a statement of capital.

If you need any assistance increasing your company share capital and issuing new shares do not hesitate to contact us for assistance.
